HONG KONG VISIT

Senseis Ross Frame and Bert Ford have recently arrived back in the UK after a successful trip to Hong Kong. Sensie Ford competed in a full contact karate competition and took gold and Sensei Frame taught two seminars at the famous 'Impakt' Gym, Co. run by James Kouame (S.E Asia Knockdown Champ and No 1 rated heavyweight) and Alain Ngalani (K1 & Planet Battle World Champ.) Kevin Don, former Tei Karate - ka and now 2nd Dan Kyokshin, who works as a trainer in the gym, organised the trip. Sensei Ross went down a bomb and at one point everyone on the class burst into clapping when he jumped over a students head doing a roundhouse kick, the boss has not lost it by any means. Sensei Ford trained with Sensei Ross for his fight and won the senior black belt Hong Kong full contact title. Not bad for both being in their 50s!!

During the visit the Tei Senseis also attended a K1 event where Bob Sapp fought their host Alain in a 4000 seat stadium. They also attended a Thai show at the same venue they held the full contact karate show.

Ross has been invited by Alain, James and Kevin back, early 2010, to do a series of seminars and some personal coaching; while there, he hopes to organise a 'friendly' knockdown match between Tei and Hong Kong Kyokushinkai later in late 2010 or early 2011 ( in Hong Kong.) Ross and Bert would like to thank all at Impakt, especially Alain, John and Kevin, for their outstanding hospitality. Osu!!

( p.s. nearly forgot to thank champion Thai Boxer Irshad Sayed for giving up his bed for Bert / sleeping on couch and putting up with the "turmoil" thanks!)
