Description

This class is targeted at children from 7yrs and up. The class focuses on teaching the basics of shotokan karate and preparing students for their gradings. Fiona Brown, the class instructor has been training with Tei Karate for over 12yrs, having started as a 7yr old herself! Having realised her ambition of achieving Shodan (black belt) with the Association in November 2004 Fiona has demonstrated that she possesses all the technique, strength and determination required to become a black belt with the Tei Association.

Fiona is now an accomplished instructor and has a gentle, encouraging yet authoritative style to her teaching. This class is particularly popular with the 7-11yr (Primary) age group although in more recent times, we have seen more High school students training in class.

Fiona is currently assisted by the brothers and sister combination of Ross, David and Alison Lowe. currently 2nd kyu (Brown belt) they provide an invaluable support to Fiona in developing the skills of the lower grade students.

Numbers at the class currently sit at around 20 students.

Beginners are always welcomed and assured of  instruction targeted at their level of competence.

There is no adult class on a Thursday.
